Inner alchemy, the ability to transform, is central to Taoist practices....By intentionally infusing our organs with attentive affection and love, we aid the transformation of harmful emotions into compassionate healing energy to help restore our balance and wellbeing.

What IS a Retreat?

It’s an opportunity to reset, rest, reflect, restore, repair, rejuvenate and reconnect with yourself. In the busyness of life we often don’t make the time to truly nurture ourselves, often it feels impossible or an indulgent luxury.

It is when we get onto our mat, that we can take time to support ourselves in the present moment. A retreat offers us more than just a sixty minute class to tune in and gift our minds and bodies what they most need.

I’ve been attending yoga retreats for my own wellbeing for twenty five years. My first experience of yoga was on a weekend retreat and I didn’t want to leave! Since then I have assisted on many and hosted my own, most recently in January with a weekend at Old Kilmun House and in June, a day retreat at Beechbrae.

I’m guiding a Sun Salutation workshop on Saturday 1st June at Beechbrae. This will be an opportunity to explore the different elements of the sequence as move towards midsummer. I’ll be co-hosting another retreat with the 360 Mind Body Soul team in December 2024, an opportunity for some winter sunshine in Northern Tenerife at the Oceano Health Spa Hotel. And there will be another Menopause & Myofascial release yoga day at Beechbrae with Lindsey Porter on the 9th November 2024.
